Ufone launches GSM services in North Waziristan
Peshawar, March 07, 2019: : Ufone, a Pakistani cellular company, has announced the launch of its GSM services in Miranshah and Mir Ali, North Waziristan, from March 9, 2019.
In an effort to ensure uninterrupted connectivity and communication in the unserved North Waziristan, Ufone is all set to launch Phase 1 of its services in the two cities. Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Mahmood Khan, along with Federal Minister for Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed will be inaugurating the launch. The service will be expanded to other parts of the district later this year.
With the focus to enhance the momentum of teledensity growth in the rural areas of Pakistan, the prime minister of Pakistan, Imran khan, announced the launch of cellular services during his visit to the area in November, 2018.
