Ufone continues to improve health facilities for children at Polyclinic

Ufone, one of the leading telecom operators in Pakistan, has refurbished the entire Children’s Ward and the Children’s OPD of the Federal Government Service Hospital in Islamabad as part of its corporate social responsibility agenda of giving something back to the community. The PEADS Polyclinic renovation project started in the year 2007, when Ufone revamped the entire children’s ward.

Revamping Polyclinic

Helping set up the Thallasemia Center

Ufone one of the leading telecom companies in the country has been very keen of fulfilling its social responsibilities. Ufonebelieves in giving back to the society and has recently donated a considerable sum to The Kidney Center in Karachi which will help in the expansion of the already existing facility. Ufonepartnered with Plan International for the establishment of a Thalassemia center at the District Headquarters hospital, Vehari. Plan International is a development organization established in 1937, working for lasting improvements in children’s lives in over 66 countries. Plan aims to achieve lasting improvements in the quality of life of deprived children in developing countries, through a process that unites people across cultures and adds meaning and value to their lives. Plan is registered with the United Nations since 1989 and has consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council and UNICEF.
