Ufone launches Video News
ISLAMABAD: Jul 16,2008 - Ufone, one of the leading telecom companies of the country, has surpassed new barriers of communication services by launching one of its kind "Video News Service." This video news service launched by Ufone will enable subscribers to receive video updates about latest developments and breaking news throughout the day anywhere and everywhere in Pakistan. With this service customers will receive up to 3 MMS per day with breaking news between 9am-9pm. To subscribe to this exclusive service, customers can simply SMS ‘news’ to 2478 from their handsets, which are MMS enabled, and can get video news updates all day without any hassle. Ufone notifies all its valued subscribers against replying to or acting upon any call or SMS received which claims to double your balance, win bumper prizes, cash rewards, discount vouchers, or any other surprise gifts. Beware of any SMS which contains a string like '03332597334u2u50' or any call that asks you to give the number on the back of a scratch card as this is fraud and will cause you a loss.
Remember, if you receive any such SMS or calls call 333 from your Ufone immediately.

Attention all Ufone Prepaid and Postpay customers! As per new Government Income Tax (Amendment) Ordinance 2011, withholding tax upon each Prepaid balance recharge and Postpay bill payment has been decreased from 11.5% to 10%. This new tax amendment is applicable from 1st July, 2011.

Note: From 21st September 2012, calls to 333 from Ufone prepaid numbers will be charged at Rs. 1.50 + tax per call however charges for speaking to Ufone customer care representative will be reduced from Re.1.00 to Rs.0.75 + tax per call.
