Ufone has launched this value added service for its subscribers in association with Al Jazeera News Network – a 24 hour English language News and Current Affairs channel with Headquarters in Doha, Qatar. This convenient and easily accessible news service, by Pakistan’s leading telecom operator, can be simply subscribed to by sending ‘SUB’ to 131 and choosing from a range of categories including all news, breaking news, politics, finance and sports. Attention all Ufone Prepaid and Postpay customers! As per new Government Income Tax (Amendment) Ordinance 2011, withholding tax upon each Prepaid balance recharge and Postpay bill payment has been decreased from 11.5% to 10%. This new tax amendment is applicable from 1st July, 2011.

Note: From 21st September 2012, calls to 333 from Ufone prepaid numbers will be charged at Rs. 1.50 + tax per call however charges for speaking to Ufone customer care representative will be reduced from Re.1.00 to Rs.0.75 + tax per call.
