UFONE IR TARIFF ADVISOR

The Ufone International Roaming Tariff advisor is an SMS based service designed to provide instant and hassle free access to latest roaming tariffs to our valued roaming customers.

Mechanics:

The service flow will work as follows:

1.	Simply SMS “INT” or “Help” or send a Blank SMS to 787 in return you will get a list of top 10 roaming destinations. At present following are the top destinations* 1-UAE 2-UK 3-Saudi Arabia 4-China 5-USA 6-Canada 7-Italy 8-Oman 9-Turkey 10-Thialand

2.	Reply with the desired destination number i.e. 1 to 10.

3.	This step can be skipped by simply sending the name of the required destination in your first SMS e.g. SMS to 787 to get the desired tariffs.

4.	You may also SMS the city name (capital / major cities) instead of destination name and get the roaming tariffs of the relevant city. e.g. SMS “Dubai” to 787 and you will receive relevant roaming information for Dubai.

5.	On selecting the destination of choice you will get an SMS which will give you the option of selecting between 1. Post Paid, 2. GPRS and 3. Prepaid.

6.	After selecting the required option, you will get a list of operators in that particular destination along with a legal disclaimer.

7.	When the desired operator is chosen the customer will receive the Peak, Off-Peak, SMS, Incoming and outgoing tariffs.

8.	Similarly the tariffs for GPRS and PrePaid roaming will be displayed depending on the option selected by yourself.

9.	For further information reply to the SMS with “m”. The detailed information will provide peak and off-peak timings for both on-net, off-net call rates along with calls rates back to Pakistan.

Pricing:

Each SMS will be charged 50 paisa plus tax.

• This service is available to all Ufone customers on all packages (Prepaid, Postpaid).

• The service is accessible on all kinds of handsets.

• Tariffs are in USD for Postpaid and GPRS, while in PKR for Prepaid Tariffs. These Tariffs are subject to change. 19.50% CED exclusive. PTML disclaims responsibility for any publication.

• While roaming international SMS charges will apply.

Ufone notifies all its valued subscribers against replying to or acting upon any call or SMS received which claims to double your balance, win bumper prizes, cash rewards, discount vouchers, or any other surprise gifts. Beware of any SMS which contains a string like '03332597334u2u50' or any call that asks you to give the number on the back of a scratch card as this is fraud and will cause you a loss.
Remember, if you receive any such SMS or calls call 333 from your Ufone immediately.

Attention all Ufone Prepaid and Postpay customers! As per new Government Income Tax (Amendment) Ordinance 2011, withholding tax upon each Prepaid balance recharge and Postpay bill payment has been decreased from 11.5% to 10%. This new tax amendment is applicable from 1st July, 2011.

Note: From 21st September 2012, calls to 333 from Ufone prepaid numbers will be charged at Rs. 1.50 + tax per call however charges for speaking to Ufone customer care representative will be reduced from Re.1.00 to Rs.0.75 + tax per call.
