the port request form giving
out their mobile number, name,
CNIC/NIC/passport # &
SIM number. |

addition to port request form
(copy enclosed), customers
will be required to fill in
CSAF just like it is done
for new sales as per the product
opted pre or post followed
by payment of security deposit
in case of postpaid as per
tariff plan. For prepay port-in
sales there will be no other
charges except porting. There
will be no GOP payment required
in case of port-in sales. |

A: The number has
to be registered in your name, U need
to settle all financial & contractual
obligations (if any) before porting
out. You number has to be active for
at least 60 days after the date of
activation/ ownership change. |

Q: Would
my existing SIM card work when I port-in
to Ufone / port out of Ufone?
A: No, you will be
given a new SIM card when U port-in
to Ufone.
Similarly U will get a new SIM card
from the operator U port to. |

Q: Will
my prepaid balance get transferred
with my number when I port out of
Ufone or Port-in to Ufone from other
networks.
A: No the prepay balance
is not portable. U will have to recharge
new Ufone card or use U-Top Up facility
for the same. |

Q: What
will happen if I have any outstanding
dues at donor operator’s end &
I apply for port-in to Ufone OR I
have dues at Ufone end & I want
to port out?
A: Your port request
will be rejected by donor operator;
therefore U will be required to settle
your dues completely before applying
for porting. |

is not in my name & I want to
apply for porting?
A: U will have to
either get the number registered in
your name before applying for porting
or U will have to apply with the same
name & NIC # under which your
number is registered with the donor
operator |

Q: I have
applied for port-in to Ufone as postpaid
customer & have paid the security
deposit, if my case gets rejected
by donor operator, in what time will
I get my security deposit refunded?
A: Right away, all
you have to do is to visit the same
Ufone outlet where U had applied for
port-in & request for refund.
The said outlet will refund your money
there & then. |

Q: Will
my contacts, address book etc remain
intact when I port?
A: If the contacts
are saved in the phone, yes they will
remain intact, however if they are
saved in the SIM card, they will not
remain intact as you will get a new
SIM card from the recipient operator,
therefore it is advisable to copy
your contacts from SIM to the phone
(if your phone has the option) before
porting. |

Q: I have
applied for port-in to Ufone, would
my number remain active throughout
the port process period of 4 days?
A: Though your number
will remain active but there will
be a down time of couple of hours
during which the donor operator will
disconnect the number from its network
& Ufone will process the activation
of your number on its network. |
